Parasitiphis Womersley View in CoL (4 described species)

Movable and fixed cheliceral digits with 4–10 and 8–10 teeth, respectively. Epistome with an anteromedian extension wider at base, acute distally, smooth, flanked or not by one pair of large anterolateral spines, shorter than anteromedian extension. Seta h 3 about in longitudinal line with h 1 and slightly posterior and mediad to h 2. Idiosoma elongated or suboval, 860–1050 µm long and 510–550 µm wide at widest level. Podonotal and opisthonotal shields fused, forming holonotal shield. Dorsal idiosomal setae aciculate and smooth. Podonotal region of dorsum with 16–20 pairs of setae, of which 16–20 pairs on podonotal shield and without setae on soft integument along lateral margins of podonotal shield. Opisthonotal region with 16–19 pairs of setae, of which 15– 18 pairs on opisthonotal shield and with a pair on soft integument along lateral margins of opisthonotal shield. Seta j 1 not on prominent protuberance, shorter than r 3 and Z 5 (as long as r 3 in P. jeanneli ). Holonotal and ventrianal shields separated. With a pair of presternal platelets. Sternal shield not fused to endopodal shield near coxa IV; st 4 lateral to st 1– st 3. Opisthogaster without platelets between genital and ventrianal shields; with six pairs of setae on ventrianal shield and with two pairs on soft integument around ventrianal shield; post-anal seta longer than paraanal seta. Peritreme with straight or smoothly curved margins, extending anteriorly to level of coxa I. Peritrematal shield fused posteriorly to exopodal shield near coxa IV, with connection behind stigma wider or narrower than peritreme. Exopodal shields near coxae II–III–III fused. With a pair of elongated or rounded metapodal platelets. All legs with pretarsi, pretarsus I not pedunculate and subequal to other pretarsi. Genua I, III and IV and tibia IV with 13, 9, 10 and 9–10 setae, respectively.
