Type material. Paratype, male, ‘Peru‘, without other data ( ZMPA).

Diagnosis. Close to F. excavatipes , differs in body coloration with much shorter yellow transverse stripe on elytra and entirely black pronotum.

Redescription. Body dark brown, only sides of pronotum, short humeral spots and transverse stripe in ½–7/12 of elytra yellow ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 7 – 12 ). Eyes medium-sized, distance between eyes 1.2x longer than maximal eye diameter. Maxillary palpi brown, except proximal half of palpomere 3 yellow. Labial palpi brown. Antennomere 3 1.1x shorter than antennomere 4 ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 31 – 41 ). Pronotum ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 16 – 30 ) with anterior margin strongly produced forwards, transverse,1.5x wider at base than long. Elytra slender, 3.5x longer than humeral width, sutural margins divergent medially, each elytron widest in distal 2/5. Male genitalia stout ( Fig. 60–62 View FIGURES 54 – 65 ), parameres as long as 5/6 of phallus, phallus 3x longer than parameres width, distal enlargement oval. Body length: 6.5 mm, humeral width: 1.6 mm.

Remark. Paratype with right antennomeres 3–11 and left antennomeres 6–11 missing.
