DISTRIBUTION: E Oregon, SW Idaho, NE California, N Nevada, and NW Utah ( USA).

SYNONYMS: creber (Hall, 1940); oregonus Merriam, 1898.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Spermophilus ( Hall, 1981:387) . Reviewed by Jenkins and Eshelman (1984, Mammalian Species, 221).
