TYPE SPECIES: Glyphotes simus Thomas, 1898 View in CoL .

COMMENTS: Tribe Callosciurini ( Moore, 1959) . Corbet and Hill (1992) placed this genus in Callosciurus . Both Payne et al. (1985) and Corbet and Hill (1992) considered Hessonoglyphotes Moore, 1959 , to be a junior synonym of Callosciurus .
