TYPE LOCALITY: "ad fretum Hudsonis" Restricted by Howell (1936: 134) to the mouth of Severn River, Hudson Bay, Ontario, Canada .
DISTRIBUTION: Alaska ( USA), throughout Canada (south of tundra); including Vancouver Isl, W USA in mountain states; NE USA, south to NW South Carolina.
STATUS: U.S. ESA and IUCN - Endangered as T. h. grahamensis.
