In NFIC there are fourteen paratypes. All with similar labels—Label 1: White label one stating collection locality ' INDIA: Tamil Nadu, Jawalagiri , North Salem ; 02.x.1930; collected by FRI Sandal Insect Survey'. Label 2: Small label with number '1395'. Label 3: with ' Plot 13'. Label 4: White label –' Elytropachys sandalensis Bryant , Paratype (hand written), det. GE Bryant'. Label 5: Green label stating ' Paratype'.

Remarks: Right antenna of the photographed paratype with scape only.

Comments: The species was described based on 23 specimens, all collected from Jawalagiri with numbers 1394, 1395, 1458 to 1468, 1472 to 1474, 1480 to 1483, 1494 and 1513. In NFIC specimens bearing the numbers 1394, 1395, 1458- 60, 62-64, 1472, 1480-82, 1494 and 1513 are present with details as mentioned above. Rest of the specimens with numbers 1458, 1461, 1465-68, 1473-74 and 1483 which may have been designated as holotype and paratypes are deposited elsewhere.
