( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 )

FEMALE. Body length 8.40 mm, fore wing length 7.00 mm. Head. Supraclypeal area 1.20 times as wide as height, weakly convex at middle and depressed on sides, its upper edge with a faint, broad and shallow notch, finely and sparsely punctate, pubescent. Clypeus basally convex, bilobed, apico-medially notched. Mandible with equal-length teeth. Malar space 0.33 times as long as basal width of mandible. Supra-antennal area smooth and shiny. POL:OD:OOL=1.0:1.40:1.50. Gena narrow, 0.34 times as long as eye in dorsal view, pubescent. Occipital carina complete, meeting hypostomal carina before base of mandible. Antenna with 20 flagellomeres, first flagellomere 3.70 times as long as its apical width, 1.40 times as long as the second.

Mesosoma. Pronotum smooth and shiny, dorsal margin sparsely punctate and setiferous. Epomia distinct. Notauli anteriorly impressed. Mesoscutum finely punctate, pubescent. Scutellum and metascutellum weakly convex, finely sparsely punctate. Mesopleuron shiny, sparsely punctate, pubescent on anterior half, smooth and bare on posterior half. Epicnemial carina distinct, reaching above the middle level of mesopleuron.

Metapleuron smooth except for dorsal area along pleural carina with sparse punctures. Submetapleural carina complete, strong. Propodeum without median longitudinal carinae, but with very short and distinct stubs on basal 0.20. Area superomedia of propodeum smooth, lateral and pleural areas with densely fine punctures, pubescent; posterior area smooth.

Wings. Fore wing: crossvein 1cu-a weakly antefurcal of vein 1M+Rs. Cell 1+2Rs (areolet) triangular, oblique, weakly petiolate, receiving crossvein 2m-cu at apical corner. Hind wing: distal abscissa of vein Cu present; vein 1-Cu longer than crossvein 1cu-a.

Legs. Hind femur 3.70 times as long as its maximum width.

Metasoma. T1 0.90 times as long as its apical width, dorsally coarsely punctate, smooth in the declivity; dorsolateral carina complete and strong; dorsal median carinae up to declivity. Tubercles on T2–5 distinct, basally smooth and shiny, less punctate at apex. T6–8 sparsely punctate, pubescent. Ovipositor 4.10 times as long as hind tibia, 0.80 times as long as metasoma, cylindrical. Ovipositor preapically with a weak dorsal angle, its lower valve with distinct oblique ridges.

Colour. Body black. Yellow as follows: clypeus, mandible except for black teeth, palpus, tegula, subtegular ridge, fore and middle legs, narrow lateral margins of T2–5. Scutellum and metascutellum black with yellow marks on apex. Hind coxa reddish brown. Wing membrane subhyaline, veins and stigma brown. Ovipositor sheath black.

Male. Unknown.

Host. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype female: CHINA, Songyang (Lat. 28.40, Long. 119.40), Zhejiang, 15-IX- 1989, Coll. Han-lin Chen, No.897039. Paratypes: 1 female, West Mt. Tianmu (Lat. 30.30, Long. 119.38), Zhejiang, 4-VI-1994, Coll. Xue-xin Chen, No.941832; 1 female, Mt. Qingliangfeng (Lat. 30.02, Long. 118.83), Zhejiang, 12-VIII-2005, Coll. Min Shi, No.200603833.

Distribution records. China (Zhejiang).

Etymology. The specific name derives from the Latin laevis, meaning smooth, and tuberculatus, meaning ‘bearing a tubercle’, referring to the tubercles on metasomal tergites smooth.

Comments. This species is similar to A. nigroscutis ( Cameron) by propodeum with short basal stubs, but can be distinguished from the latter by face wholly black (vs. face largely yellow); metasomal tergites black except for yellow narrow lateral sides of T2–4 (vs. T1–4 orange yellow with black apices); and tubercles on T2–5 largely smooth (vs. T2–5 strongly and closely punctate). It also resembles A. maculifacia Gupta et Tikar by face distinct depressed on sides, but can be distinguished from the latter by face black (vs. yellow spots under antennal sockets), and tubercles largely smooth (vs. metasomal tergites with strong and close punctures).
