Caridina typus – De Silva, 1982: 135. Figs. 4a–h (not Caridina typus H. Milne Edwards, 1837).

Material examined. – Ten females, cl 3.3–3.8 mm, ZRC 2007.0272, river outside Inabacan Cave, Antequrra, coll. Y. Cai et al., 16 Dec.2000; 1 male, cl 3.4 mm, 11 females, cl 3.4–4.4 mm, ZRC 2007.0273 , river outside Inabacan Cave , Antequrra, coll. Y. Cai et al., 18 Dec.2000 ; 1 male, cl 4.9 mm, ZRC 2007.0274 , Loboc River , Loboc, coll. Y. Cai et al., 19 Dec.2000 .

Remarks. – Caridina villadolidi has been reported from Taiwan ( Hung et al., 1993), the Philippines ( Blanco, 1939; Chace, 1997; Cai & Shokita, 2006a), Sulawesi and Halmahera in Indonesia (Cai & Ng, 2001), and Sri Lanka ( De Silva, 1982, misidentified as Caridina typus).
