Distribution. Saudi Arabia ( Heyden 1913; Abdel-Dayem et al. 2017), Italy, Algeria, Canary Islands, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Madeira Archipelago, Tunisia, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria, and Turkey.

Notes. Brachypera isabellina is the most common and abundant species in the study, with peak numbers during March, April, and May 2016.
