Taxonomy. Akodon sylvanus pervalens Thomas, 1925 View in CoL , Carapari, 1000 m, Tarja, Bolivia .
Taxonomy of A. pervalens is poorly explored. Monotypic.
Distribution. Known only from a few localities in Chuquisaca and Tarija departments, SC Bolivia. View Figure
Descriptive notes. Head-body 116 mm, tail 93 mm, ear 19 mm, hindfoot 25 mm (holotype measurements). No specific data are available for body weight. The Tarija Grass Mouse is a moderately large species of Akodon . Dorsum is dark grayish or brownish olive; ventral hairs have dark bases and buffy tips; eye-rings and white spots on chin or throat are absent; and tail is unicolored dark.
Habitat. Humid Yungas forest, Chaco woodland, and semiarid inter-Andean valleys at elevations of 900-2100 m.
