Female (n = 10)

Dorsum ( Figure 7A View Figure 7 , Table 4). Dorsal shield reticulate with seven pairs of solenostomes present, gd1, gd2, gd4, gd5, gd6, gd8 and gd9. Dorsal setae smooth, except for Z4 and Z5, slightly serrate, Z5 is the longest, setae z3 absent. Setae r3 and R1 on integument.

Peritreme. Extending anterolaterally to level of setae j3.

Venter ( Figure 7B View Figure 7 , Table 4). Sternal shield reticulate with three pairs of setae and two pairs of lyrifissures. Setae ST4 on small metasternal shields. Posterior margin of shield straight. Ventrianal shield triangular and lightly reticulate with three pairs of preanal setae and a pair of closely associated preanal pores posteromesad of setae JV2. Opisthogaster with five pairs of platelets, three slender platelets between genital and ventrianal shield, four pairs of setae and two pairs of metapodal shields.

Chelicera ( Figure 7C View Figure 7 , Table 4). Fixed digit with four or five teeth and a pilus dentilis, movable digit with one small tooth.

Spermatheca ( Figure 7D View Figure 7 , Table 4). Calyx bowl-shaped, atrium nodular.

Legs ( Figure 7E View Figure 7 , Table 4). Leg IV only with StIV, pointed distally. Chaetotaxy of genu II: 2-2/0, 2/0-1, genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1.

Male (n = 5)

Dorsum ( Table 4). Dorsal shield pattern as in female, all dorsal setae smooth, except for Z4 and Z5, slightly serrate.

Peritreme. Extending to level between j1 and j3.

Venter ( Table 4). Ventrianal shield subtriangular, reticulate, with three pairs of preanal setae, a pair of small closely associated pores, posteromesad of JV2.

Spermatodactyl ( Figure 7F View Figure 7 , Table 4). L-shaped. Legs ( Table 4). Macroseta (St IV) pointed distally. Chaetotaxy of genua II and III as in female.

Remarks

The type specimens were also collected from P. dactylifera in the Arava Valley ( Swirski et al. 1998) .
