14. Conicera dentisparsa sp. nov. ( Figs. 13A–F View FIGURES 13 )
Description. Male. Body ( Fig. 13A View FIGURES 13 ) length. 1.18 mm. Frons brown. Supra-antennal setae present. Lower fronto-orbital setae absent. Lower interfrontal setae shorter than upper interfrontal setae and the distance between each other shorter than that between upper interfrontal setae. First flagellomere brown, 0.17 mm long, with an aspect ratio of 1.84:1; arista 0.30 mm long, 1.76 times as long as that of first flagellomere. Palpus dark brown, with 6 short setae apically.
Thorax brown. Mid and hind legs brown, fore leg yellow. Fore tibia with 12 small near-dorsal setulae, the uppermost being longer than the rest. Mid femur without sense-organ. Wing length 1.15 mm. Costal index 0.40, costal ratio 1.50:1, costal setulae length 0.03 mm. Vein Rs with basisetula. Veins brown, except A 1 +CuA 2 whitish gray. Membrane hyaline. Halter brown.
Abdominal tergites dark brown. Terminalia ( Figs. 13B–F View FIGURES 13 ) dark brown. Left surstylus ( Figs. 13C, E View FIGURES 13 ) large, oval, 16 inner teeth scattered on internal surface. Right surstylus ( Figs 13D, F View FIGURES 13 ) large, arrow-like, 18 inner teeth scattered on internal surface, with a basidorsal process.
Female. Unknown.
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin words dentis (tooth) and sparsus (sparse), indicating the characters of surstylus.
Specimen examined. Holotype, ♂, Guangdong, Nanling, Wuzhishanzhen, 28-Jul-2011, Jianfeng Wang . Paratypes, 3♂, Guangdong, Nanling, Wuzhishanzhen, 27-Jul-2011, Jianfeng Wang .
Distribution. China (Guangdong).
Remarks. In the key of Disney (1990) the species runs to couplet 8, to C. brunella Beyer, 1958 , but it differs from the latter by more, but scattered distribution of inner teeth of left surstylus
