Subgenus: Elachista ; bifasciella species group.

Distribution: Palearctic. Armenia, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Russia (S. Ural, Caucasus, Sayan Mountains), Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine.

Larval host plant(s): Agrostis sp., Bromus pannonicus Kummer & Sendtner , Festuca arvernensis Auquier, Kerguélen & Markgr. -Dannenb., Holcus sp., Koeleria cristata Pers , K. glauca (Schrader) DC., K. macrantha (Ledeb.) Schultes (all Poaceae ) ( Wörz 1957; Szöcs 1973; Buszko 1990a; Parenti & Varalda 1994).
