Hoplitis remotula specializes on pollen from Cryptantha Lehm. ex G. Don ( Boraginaceae ) ( Fowler 2020). This represents a new species record for the BCP. We examined one female collected in the Coastal Sage Matorral near Ensenada City in April 1997 ( BBSL). Additionally, the BBPT collected one female in Coastal Sage Matorral in Valle de Guadalupe in April 2022 ( MABC). See fig. 254 .
