Osmia texana View in CoL is a specialist of Cirsium Mill. View in CoL in the family Asteraceae ( Fowler 2020) View in CoL , which is a genus widely distributed with native and introduced species throughout the continent. Within the BCP, Osmia texana View in CoL was previously reported in the Baja California Mountains in Sierra Juarez, and San Pedro Mártir by BBSL ( GBIF 2023). The BBPT collected this species in the transition zone between the Chaparral and the Baja California Mountains ecoregion in San Pedro Mártir in May 2022 (2 ♀, 1 ♂). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 257.
