[ Lectotype: NHMUK; ♀ Oaxaca, Mexico]

Lasioglossum desertum View in CoL spans from Oaxaca, Mexico to the Rocky Mountains in the USA ( McGinley 1986). Cockerell (1899) reported this species in the transition zone of the Magdalena Plains and La Giganta Ranges (BCS) at La Purisima locality and Ayala et al. (1996) confirmed its presence in BCS. See fig. 183.
