[ Holotype: USNM; ♀ mountains nearby Claremont , Los Angeles Co., California, USA]

Stelis carnifex is distributed from southwestern Canada to BC, Mexico. Within the BCP, it has been reported in the Baja California Mountains in Sierra San Pedro Mártir in June 1953 by BBSL ( GBIF 2023 View Materials ). See fig. 207 .
