[ Holotype: CASC; ♂ Dutch Flat , California, USA; reared from nest May 19, 1912]

Dianthidium dubium is distributed in western USA, and northern BC, Mexico. We reviewed three specimens collected in the Chaparral in September 1980 (2 ♂), and 1983 (1 ♂; SDNHM). Additionally, the BBPT collected this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in June 2020 (2 ♂, 1 ♀), and May 2022 (1 ♂); Chaparral May 2022 (2 ♀), and Baja California Mountains in Sierra Juarez in September 2021 (1 ♀). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 202.
