Anthophora (Micranthophora) abroniae Timberlake, 1937 View in CoL

Anthophora abroniae View in CoL is abundant in the Sonoran and Mojave deserts and is a pollen specialist on early-blooming sand verbena in the genus Abronia Juss Orr et al. (2018) View in CoL . In BC, it has been collected in the Lower Colorado Desert and in the Chaparral region ( Orr et al. 2018). The BBPT collected three females in the Lower Colorado Desert in Cerro Prieto, Mexicali in June 2021. Voucher specimens are in MABC (2 ♀), and ECOAB (1 ♀). See fig. 71.
