Diadasia nigrifrons is distributed in the western USA and in BC, Mexico and specializes on pollen from plants in the genus Sidalcea A. Gray. ( Malvaceae ) (Sipes & Tepedino 2005). Prior to our surveys, this species had only been collected in Sierra Juarez in the Baja California Mountains in May 1981 (SDNHM). The BBPT collected two males in the Chaparral region in May 2021 and 2023 (MABC). See fig. 95.
