Ceriodaphnia megops Sars, 1862 View in CoL
This is a new record for Tajikistan. The species was found in a small lake in Alichur River valley, Pamir, at altitude of 3730 m (loc. 33). Ceriodaphnia megops was reported from Europe, Siberia and Caucasus, being more abundant in the South Palearctic ( Korovchinsky & Kotov 2021). The species was previously recorded at altitudes up to 1150 m ( Błędzki & Rybak 2016, Korovchinsky & Kotov 2021), thus we report the most high-altitude record of this species to date. For brief description and notes on distribution, see Korovchinsky & Kotov (2021).
