Probles (Euporizon) hankaensis Khalaim, 2014
Material examined. JAPAN. Honshu I.: 1 ♀ ( KPM-NK) Toyama Pref., Toyama City, Arimine, Inonedani , 1120 m, Malaise trap, 15–22.IX.2009, coll. M. Watanabe.
Remarks. This species is very similar to P. carinator , but female of P. hankaensis from Japan possesses malar space about 0.8× as long as basal mandibular width, dorsolateral area of propodeum very shallowly granulate (nearly smooth) and weakly shining, propodeal spiracle separated from pleural carina by one diameter of spiracle, and ovipositor somewhat longer than in specimens of P. carinator from Japan. In addition to the diagnostic characters provided in the key to species (Khalaim 2014: 104), P. hankaensis differs from P. carinator by less slender first metasomal tergite with lateral sides of petiole partly striate (entirely smooth in P. carinator ). Notably, the female of P. hankaensis was collected in the same locality where most specimens of P. carinator were collected.
Distribution. Russian Far East; in Japan known from Honshu I. First record from Japan.
