Genus Diaparsis Förster, 1869 View in CoL View at ENA
Diaparsis View in CoL is a large genus of almost worldwide distribution (unknown only from the Neotropical region) with about 110 described species ( Yu et al. 2016). The genus is most species-rich in tropical Asia where it comprises almost half of species of the tersilochine fauna ( Khalaim 2011). Palaearctic species of the genus were reviewed by Khalaim (2002 a, 2005). Thirteen species, including two unidentified taxa, were recorded from South Korea ( Balueva et al. 2013b).
Four species of Diaparsis View in CoL occur in Japan ( Kusigemati 1980; Khalaim 2005): D. (Diaparsis) hyperae Kusigemati View in CoL , D. (Pectinoparsis) improvisator Khalaim View in CoL , and two species listed below.
Species of Diaparsis have been reared from the beetle families Buprestidae , Cerambycidae , Chrysomelidae and Curculionidae , and in Europe one species has been reared from sawfly genera Pontania Costa and Phyllocolpa Benson ( Hymenoptera : Tenthredinidae ) ( Yu et al. 2016).
