Genus Allophrys Förster, 1869 View in CoL View at ENA
Allophrys View in CoL is an almost exclusively tropical genus comprising 34 species ( Yu et al. 2016; Khalaim 2017 a, 2018a; Khalaim & Villemant 2019). Japanese fauna of Allophrys View in CoL was revised by Khalaim (2017a) who described two species from Kyushu I., A. matsumurai Khalaim and A. takemotoi Khalaim , and recorded from Kansai and Kyushu regions a morphospecies represented only by males ( Khalaim 2017a: 390). The latter morphospecies is recorded here from Kanagawa Pref.
Very little is known about the biology of the genus. The only host record is from an unidentified sap beetle ( Nitidulidae View in CoL ) in fallen guava fruits in the Neotropical region ( Horstmann 2010).
