Description. 15–18mm. Head pollinose except for shining epicephalon. Frontal vitta broad anteriorly, barely distinguishable from narrow orbital strips, postocellar part of vitta evenly tapered and slightly wider than ocellar triangle at posteriormost point. One lower fronto-orbital seta. Base of arista yellow and slightly swollen; arista bare. Clypeus bare and shining.

Thorax mostly reddish brown, notum darker than pleuron; dorsocentral areas almost black, forming diffuse longitudinal vittae that extend from scutum across the scutellum. Postpronotal lobe slightly paler than adjacent scutum, with a weak dark ridge at posteroventral margin. Anepisternum and anterior part of katepisternum with very sparse small dark setae.

Fore leg black, except for orange coxal and femoral bases, and tarsomere one which is white almost to the apex. Mid and hind femur mostly reddish brown but with a distinct orange preapical band and a black apex; hind femur more reddish on basal third. Mid tibia and tarsus black; hind tibia black, hind tarsus black other than tarsomere one which is white except at apex. Wing infuscated, slightly darker along leading edge; halter knob dark.

Abdomen with pleuron entirely dirty white to blackish (both types are pinned from alcohol, and seem discolored). Female oviscape broad and brown basally, abruptly tapered and black distally, 3.5X length of T6. Spermathecal ducts smooth, paired spermathecae elongate-cylindrical, striate, stems long and sinuate with multiple tapered process on distal quarter; single spermatheca elongate and small with a swollen base.

Male unknown.
