Panstrongylus Berg 1879, 1879a , p. 268. Type species: Panstrongylus guentheri Berg 1879

Comments. There are 13 known species of Panstrongylus widely distributed in the Americas from southern Mexico to Argentina, but absent from Chile ( Galvão et al. 2003, Patterson et al. 2009). Only two species have been recorded in Mexico.
