Frons brown, broader than long, with 4058 hairs and microsetae vestigial (only just visible at high magnifications). Antials nearer anterolaterals than to each other and all four bristles in an irregular transverse row. Preocellars further apart than either is from a mediolateral bristle, and the latter very slightly lower on frons. Postpedicel is brown, subglobose but a little pointed at apex so that it is slightly longer than broad. Palps orange yellow to yellow with five apical bristles and at least three times as many hairs below segment 2, which is about 2.3x as long as broad (as viewed from above). Light brown labrum only about 0.8x as wide as palp. Labella pale lightly tinged brown above. Thorax brown to almost black on top. Scutellum with an anterior pair of hairs (subequal to those at rear of scutum) and a posterior pair of bristles. Abdominal tergites, hypopygium and basal two thirds at least of cerci brown. Venter largely brown, (but intersegment 5/6 is pale) and bare. Legs brown, the hind pair being darkest. Front tibia with 56 dorsal spines. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 0.50.6x length.
