Brachygluta (Nisa) View in CoL —the cavicornis species-group
Members of this subgenus have: median mesosternal fovea lacking, body distinctly punctate, median antebasal pronotal fovea small, about half width of lateral foveae; males with antennomeres of antennal club modified, abdominal tergites not modified. This group contains B. cavicornis (Brendel) , B. curvicera (Motschulsky) , B. luniger (LeConte) , and B. miccosukee Bückle sp. n. All are species of the Atlantic coastal marsh areas from New Brunswick to Florida, with one species also found along the Caribbean coast of Florida. Bowman (1934) treated this group as his Group III.
