Polyommatus escheri (Hübner, [1823])
—Another rare species in Montenegro. The only documented records have been published by Weiss (1975) and Sobczyk & Gligorović (2016) from the area around Podgorica, and by Kühnert (1971) who reported it from the surroundings of Igalo. The species’ host plant ( Astragalus monspessulanus L.) has been recorded in the karst terrains around the capital ( Stešević et al. 2014), and P. escheri has been reported from Gruda in Croatia, very near the border with Montenegro (Williams pers. comm.).
