7. Raabeina gracila View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs. 6, 13, 20 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 , 74–83 View FIGURES 74 – 83 )

Description. Head as wide as pronotum, crown with anterior margin subparallel to posterior margin, coronal suture indistinct ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 ). Frontoclypeus and anteclypeus narrow ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 ). Wing venation as in Figs. 74, 75 View FIGURES 74 – 83 .

Ground color beige. Eyes yellowish-grey, somewhat black, with two small black patches at inner margin and outer margin. Distal half part of pronotum yellow. Forewing pale yellow, with clavus yellowish. ( Figs. 6, 13 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 )

Abdominal apodemes extended beyond fifth sternite ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ).

Anal tube appendage extended far beyond pygofer hind margin ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ). Pygofer side provided with three macrosetae at lower basal angle, with row of five rigid setae at hind margin and much larger one at lower margin ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ). Subgenital plate with distal region not pigmented; with three macrosetae at transitional part; with three minute peg-like microsetae at the angle of caudal part; peg-like setae at subbasal margin reduced to four; narrowed area extremely long ( Figs. 78, 79 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ). Paramere as in R. bubengensis ( Fig. 80 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ). Aedeagal shaft straight, much shorter than preatrium ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 74 – 83 ).

Measurement. Male length 3.4mm; female length 3.3mm (including wing).

Material examined. Holotype: 3, China, Yunnan Prov., Damenglong, 600m, 22 December 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska; Paratypes: Ƥ, same data as holotype.

Deposition. Entomological Museum, Northwest A & F University, Yangling, China.

Diagnosis. The species differs from other species of Raabeina mainly by the subgenital plate. By contrast with other species, the apical part of the subgenital plate in this species is lightened, the narrowed area is elongated, and the reduced “basal group” of peg-like setae is shifted basally.

Etymology. This name is rooted in the Latin word “gracilis” in view of the elongated, constricted median area of subgenital plate.
