Krantziaulonastus yoyomi View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 1–5 View FIGURES 1 – 5 )
FEMALE (holotype). Total body length of holotype 520. Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex rounded ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Infracapitulum sparsely punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2–3 chambers, each lateral branch with 4 chambers ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Stylophore punctate, 150 long. Movable cheliceral digit 100 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield well sclerotized, rectangular in shape with anterior margin slightly concave, punctate and bearing bases of setae ve, si and c1, setae se on or near the shield. Setae si slightly (1.2 times) longer than ve, setae c1 and se subequal in length. The length ratios of setae d2: d1 and d2:c1 4:1 and 1:2, respectively. Hysteronotal shield absent. The ratio of distances between d2–d1 and d1–e2 approximately 1:1.7. Setae f2 2.5 times longer than f1. Genital setae g2 1.2 times longer than g1. Genital plate absent. Length ratio of setae ag2: ag3 1:1.8. All coxal fields punctate. Setae 3c 1.7 times longer than 3b. Legs. Setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 7–8 tines. Setae tc” III–IV twice as long as tc’ III–IV. Type material. Female holotype from body feather of the White-headed Buffalo Weaver Dinemellia dinemelli ( Passeriformes , Ploceidae ).
Type deposition. Type material deposited in the AMU.
Etymology. This new species is named in honor of Yo–Yo Ma, the world’s greatest living cellist.
Differential diagnosis. Krantziaulonastus yoyomi sp. nov. is morphologically similar to K. lonchurus Skoracki described from the Scaly-breasted Munia Lonchura punctulata (L.) ( Passeriformes : Estrildidae ) from China ( Skoracki 2011). In females of both species the medial and lateral branches of the peritremes are represented by a similar number of chambers and setae d2 are more than 3.5 times longer than d1. This new species is distinguishable from K. lonchurus by the following characters: in females of K. yoyomi sp. nov. the infracapitulum and stylophore are sparsely punctate, the length ratios of setae d2:c1 and f2:f1 are 1:2 and 2.5:1, respectively, and the length of setae e2 and f2 are 15 and 25, respectively. In females of K. lonchurus, the infracapitulum and stylophore are apunctate, the length ratios of setae d2:c1 and f2:f1 are 1:1.1–1.4 and 4.5–6:1, respectively, and the length of setae e2 and f2 are 80–100 and 90–95, respectively.
