Key to Jodis species of the Baikal region

1. Wings rather transparent, whitish green, with turquoise tinge (in fresh samples); transverse lines of both wings more or less straight, not jagged. Setae of sternite A3 (in males) long. In male genitalia ( Figs. 33J–33L ) saccus rather long, anterior part of juxta wider than posterior one; posterior projections of sternite A8 tapered, strongly spinulose. In female genitalia ( Fig. 38A ) ostial area with lateral sclerotization; sclerotized ductus bursae comparatively long; signum relatively large, with pair of short dents........................................................................ J. lactearia (Linnaeus, 1758)

- Wings less transparent, more yellowish green (in fresh samples); transverse lines of both wings strongly jagged. Setae of sternite A3 shorter than in J. lactearia . In male genitalia ( Figs. 33M–33O ) saccus shorter than in J. lactearia , anterior part of juxta almost as wide as posterior one; posterior projections of sternite A8 rounded, slightly spinulose. Female genitalia ( Fig. 38B ): ostial area without lateral sclerotization; antrum and ductus bursae often shorter than in J. lactearia ; signum slightly smaller than in J. lactearia , with more long dents than in J. lactearia .......................
