Genus Anomalogalumna gen. nov.

Type species: Anomalogalumna dungeri sp. nov.

Diagnosis. With character states of Galumnidae ( Ermilov & Klimov 2017) . Adult. Sexual species with dimorphism absent. Body size: Comparatively small (length about 350–400). Integument: Body surface with heavy sculpturing and ornamentation (e.g. rugose, striate, foveolate, areolate, tuberculate); notogaster and anogenital region areolatereticulate. Prodorsum: Rostrum rounded. Lamellar and sublamellar lines present, thin, parallel, curving ventrad (to acetabulum I). Rostral, lamellar and interlamellar setae comparatively short, setiform; le inserted on L or medial and very close to L. Bothridial seta clavate. Notogaster: Dorsosejugal suture developed. Pteromorph slightly bilobed. Thorn-like structure behind pteromorph absent. Octotaxic system (porose areas and sacculi) completely absent. Ten pairs of short, setiform notogastral setae. Median pore absent. Gnathosoma. Typical for Galumnidae . Lateral podosomal and epimeral regions: Epimeral neotrichy absent. All epimeral setae short, setiform. Anogenital region: Dark band anterior to genital aperture absent. Anal and adanal neotrichy absent. All anogenital setae short, setiform. Adanal lyrifissure located close and lateral to anal plate. Postanal porose area present. Legs: Heterotridactylous. Without modified leg setae. Juvenile instars. Unknown.

Etymology. The name refers to the unusual (abnormal) morphological character (i.e. absence of octotaxic system) + ‘ galumna ’, a common suffix for generic names in Galumnidae .

Remarks. The new genus differs from other genera of Galumnoidea by the combination of character states: octotaxic system completely absent; gnathosoma of galumnid type; lamellar and sublamellar lines present, parallel, curved ventrad; lamellar seta located very close to lamellar line; prodorsal and notogastral setae short, setiform; surface with heavy sculpturing/ornamentation (e.g. notogaster and anogenital region areolate-reticulate).
