Ruiz-Carranza & Lynch (1991b) reportan a Centrolene petrophilum para tres localidades en el departamento de Boyacá. Dos registros adicionales amplían el rango de distribución conocido en el departamento al municipio de Santa Maria, quebrada La Cristalina, ca 1000 m; y para el municipio de Garagoa, vereda Cienaga-Balvanera, finca reserva natural privada “El Secreto”, quebrada Las Palmitas, 2100 m, (MUJ 2227).
