Type material. Syntypes in BMNH and Transvaal Museum, examined.
Distribution. South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Ghana, Angola, Tanzania (Pinhey 1979; Vári et al. 2002).
Material examined. 1 male, Matandwe F[orest] R[eserve], Nsanje distr., S. Malawi, 240 m, 29.11.− 2.12.2010, leg. R.J. Murphy (RMM); 1 male, Mpatamanga Forest, 60 km W Blantyre, Neno distr., S. Malawi, S15°42’; E34°43’, 26.12.2008, leg. P. Ustjuzhanin & V. Kovtunovich (RYB).
