Note. Peralta-Argomeda (2011) recorded P. bullialata J. Polhemus & D. Polhemus, 1984 and P. spinifera J. Polhemus & D. Polhemus, 1984 from Peru, but they are not included below. The former species does not correspond to the specimen figured by the author, which is a male of Foveavelia, whereas the latter has a much more northeastern distribution in South America, with no known records from the central Amazon or anywhere near Peru.
