Geographic distribution. Pacific Ocean between 30° N and 5° S ( Román-Palacios et al. 2020).

Distribution in Peru. Oceanic species found off the coast of Peru ( Ikawa et al. 2012, fig. 6).

Note. This species is restricted to the Pacific Ocean. Records from other oceans, Tahiti, and the United States are erroneous.
