Geographic distribution. Colombia ( Alvarez & Roldán-Pérez 1983), Venezuela ( Drake & Harris 1934), Ecuador ( Kirkaldy 1899a), Peru ( Kuitert 1942), Bolivia (Kirkaldy Torre-Bueno 1909), Argentina ( Berg 1898) .
Distribution in Peru. Huánuco ( Nieser 1970a), Junín ( Kuitert 1942).
Notes. Considering the known distribution of this species, the isolated records from Mexico and Guatemala ( Morales & Molano 2009) need verification. Records from Chile ( Drake & Harris 1938a) are probably erroneous ( Damgaard et al. 2014).
