Geographic distribution. Colombia, Ecuador ( Rodrigues &Sites 2021), Peru ( Poisson 1954), Chile ( Montandon 1898b)
Distribution in Peru. Tumbes ( Rodrigues & Sites 2021), Lambayeque ( Rodrigues & Sites 2021; Sites 2022), Ayacucho, Ica ( Poisson 1954), Arequipa, unknown department ( Rodrigues & Sites 2021).
Notes. Material from Martinique and Venezuela mentioned in the original description ( Montandon 1898b) was probably misidentified or mislabeled. This is one of the few species of the genus to occur in the western Andes and the single one recorded from Chile, although with only a unique, unsubstantiated record from this country ( Rodrigues & Sites 2021).
