Geographic distribution. Peru ( Montandon 1900b), Bolivia ( Montandon 1897), Argentina ( De Carlo 1935) .
Distribution in Peru. Ucayali ( Rodrigues & Sites 2021), Junín ( Nieser & López-Ruf 2001; Rodrigues & Sites 2021), Ayacucho ( Poisson 1954) , Cusco ( Montandon 1900b; Rodrigues & Sites 2021).
Notes. Nieser & López-Ruf (2001) synonymized L. stali Montandon, 1897 with L. borellii , but the former species was resurrected as valid by Rodrigues & Sites (2021). The latter authors associated Poisson’s (1954) record from “Sivia, 520 m, 25.5.1936, rive du Rio Apurimac, dans l’eau; sud-Pérou” with Apurímac department, but the locality is in Ayacucho department, on the western margin of Apurímac River.
