Type species. Retiskenea diploura Warén & Bouchet, 2001 . Recent, Aleutian Trench.

Remarks. The generic assignment of the Cretaceous species remains uncertain. Our material, however, does not provide new arguments in this matter therefore we retained the classification by Campbell et al. (2008). Overall, the two species reported here are very similar to the Eocene/Oligocene species Retiskenea statura ( Goedert & Benham 1999; Kiel 2006).
