This apparently rare eucnemid species was reported from Japan, Russia, and South Korea. In the United States, D. unicolor has been recorded in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, and Rhode Island ( Otto 2022a). Delaware, Florida, and West Virginia are confirmed as new state records. Three specimens were taken from Lindgren funnel traps placed in Delaware, Florida and West Virginia.
