This widespread, rarely seen eucnemid species has been recorded in Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia ( Otto 2022b). A new state record is hereby confirmed for Iowa. One specimen was taken from a panel trap placed in a state park in southeastern Iowa. IOWA: IA, Lee Co./ Shimek S.P./ July 17–24, 2022 / Panel tr. melange c/ Doug Veal (1, DAVC).
