This rarely encountered eucnemid species has been recorded from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, and Mississippi ( Otto and Karns 2017). It is confirmed here as a new state record for South Carolina. One specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap baited with Playpodinae lure.
