EOO: 11,286.360 km ². AOO: 36 km ². Evaluation of IUCN: Vulnerable.

The distribution of Eugenia toledinensis in Mexico is in the state of Chiapas, but it occurs even in Guatemala and Belize ( Barrie 2020, WCSP 2020). The estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) falls within the thresholds of Vulnerable category under the criterion B, whilst the area of occupancy (AOO) would probably exceed the thresholds of Endangered category if the remaining habitat available is taken in account. There are between six to nine known collections based on the records available and all of them are under different ongoing threats. In Mexico, only one collection record was made, in the municipality of Ocosingo, in Chiapas, but a total of 11 collections have been registered in the region among neighboring countries. The occurrence biome is the Humid Tropical Forest and Humid Montane Forest, from 0 to 1,232 m elev. The habitat is in a good state of conservation, due to the history of human settlements of indigenous origin who have conserved most of the area however, there are no records in natural areas that are under protection. In addition, considering that this species occurs across a low altitudinal range, usually more affected by anthropic activities, it is inferred a continuing decline of habitat quality. The species can be considered rare due to the extremely low number of collections within Mexican territory. In this way, Eugenia toledinensis is classified here as Vulnerable (VU), as it meets the criteria B1ab(iii)+B2ab(iii).
