EOO: 20,376.015 km ². AOO: 48 km ². Evaluation of IUCN: Least Concern.
Eugenia percivalli has a distribution from the Mexican state of Chiapas to Guatemala and Belize ( WCSP 2020). The estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) and potentially its area of occupancy (AOO) based on the habitat available, exceed the thresholds for a threatened category under the criterion B. There are more than 10 known locations based on 23 collections. The Mesoamerican biological corridor is the habitat of the species, mainly a component of Humid Tropical Forest in a good state of conservation, an example of this in Mexico occurring in the region known as Selva Lacandona, which includes several conservation areas such as the Biosphere Reserve Lacantun and Montes Azules. The region where the collections are located is in a good state of conservation, with exceptionally low ecological degradation, and the habitat may be healthy for the development of the species ( CONABIO 2018). For this reason, Eugenia percivalli can be classified as Least Concern (LC).
Specimens examined:— MEXICO. Chiapas: Martínez 9281 (MEXU); Belize: Proctor 30074 (BM); Guatemala: Contreras 7733 (LL).
