EOO: 292,572.606 km ². AOO: 84 km ². Evaluation of IUCN: Least Concern.

Eugenia flavoviridis has a distribution in southeastern Mexico and in Guatemala and Belize ( WCSP 2020). The estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) exceeds the thresholds for a threatened category under the criterion B. The area of occupancy (AOO) would likely exceed the thresholds of any threatened category when the remaining habitat available is taken in account, due to unbalanced surveys in its entire range. There is only one record for Eugenia flavoviridis from Mexico, based in a collection made in the Humid tropical forest within the protected area known as Reserva de la Biosfera Montes Azules, in Chiapas (INE-SEMARNAP 2000a). The region has a low threat of habitat degradation, mainly due to the conservation of the forest carried out a long time ago by the Maya Lacandon indigenous people, which works to conserve the habitat of several species of flora and fauna, as well as cultural activities of food cultivation ( CONABIO 2018). The region is rich in biodiversity, constituting the biological corridor “Laguna Lachua National Park”, ( Guatemala), where the tropical forests of Mexico and Guatemala together represent the second largest rainforest reserve ( Breedlove 1981, Martínez et al. 1994). The scarcity of records of Eugenia flavoviridis in Mexico is related to effort of field surveys and is not related to local risk of extinction. The species is classified here as Least Concern (LC).
