Spartimas ornatipes Enderlein, 1921: 196 View in CoL . Type locality: TAIWAN: Toyenmongai.
Diagnosis. Head black, frons and vertex more or less shining metallic purple; frons just above antenna and face along eye margin pale grey pollinose. Antenna black, but scape, pedicel and flagellomeres 1–2 brownish yellow. Postpronotal callus and postalar callus yellow; scutellum with 6 spines, of which lateral pair much smaller than others, sometimes this pair absent; posterior margin of scutellum and spines yellow; pleura yellow, but anepisternum posteriorly largely blackish (except for upper border), anterodorsal part of anepimeron and meron also blackish. Hind femur with a wide subapical ring. Vein M3 present, extending more than halfway to wing margin. Gonocoxal apodeme very short, not nearly attaining anterior margin of capsule; phallic complex with three lobes, rather short and wide, medial lobe subequal in length to lateral lobes ( Figs. 18–23 View FIGURES 18 – 23 ).
