Remarks. Pickford (1937: 511) redescribed Michaelsen’s Chilota priesti f. typica based on the syntype material from the type locality, marked SAMC 136. In the BMNH there is a tube marked 1938.7.1.2269 containing material from Avontuur and labelled ‘ Chilota priest ’ corrected to ‘ priesti ’ with a number SAMC 136, being possibly syntype material, donated by Pickford. Further syntypes: ZMH V-7838, 7839. Pickford (1937: 513) selected a sample ‘357’ (what it is now ‘SAMC 357’) as a syntype of a priesti race minor. Other material: BMNH 1938.7.1.2270, 1938.7.1.2322–2337, 1938.7.1.2271–2316 named ‘ priesti ’ with additional notes ‘race minor or typica ’.
