This species was collected and reported by Nazari-Tajani et al. (2012) from soil and citrus leaves from Guilan Province. During this project, the senior author (AA) tried to find and examine the specimen(s) collected by these authors, in communications with M. Nazari-Tajani (September 2013, personal communication) and J. Hajizadeh (November 2019, personal communication), with no success. Since this species is a rare endemic mite found in Slovakia ( Mašán, 2007, described by only three female specimens), here we removed it from the list of the Iranian Onchodellus View in CoL species.
